The whole notion that you can't make it as a black man is bogus. You have to be very exceptional. This dude doesn't sound like anything approaching an idiot, and with the proper dedication to greatly improving his knowledge and skill, he could have done virtually anything.

No lies needing to be told. I built it from the ground up, and spent about three years trying to find my way.

Now, I'm in position to make half-a-mil per month within the next year or so.

Racism is very real, but you have to be bigger than racism. Most black people don't think they can be, which is why we empathize with people like this guy.

I know. Im just speaking from personal experience in relation to that comment. Only the VP was over me and while it was 6 figure, it wasnt 200k. That being said, it (my position) couldve definitely hit $200k counting the bonus pending my client list.

I faked my resume a while back and came up on mid 200’s and can provide receipts..

Never understood people who are obsessed with credentials, or want to fire folks who finessed their way into a gig and are now succeeding.

I'm glad that even in 2018, this is something that's possible. You would be shocked at the stories of how a lot of people made their way into their industry in the 60s, 70s, and 80s before background checks, credit checks, transcript databases, and warrants being pursued across state lines.

America is supposed to be a place where people can start fresh. Whatever you did or failed to do in the past - you're supposed to be able to move somewhere and start from 0. This idea that we pigeonhole people for the rest of their lives based on their performance on some tests at age 17 is some real foreign shyt. That's how it is in Europe, Asia, etc - not supposed to be like that out here.

Nah I'm actually getting something from this thread. As a breh with an undergrad degree in engineering and TWO masters degrees, I'm looking at this thread as motivation for me to get way more than I'm getting. At this point its all in my mouthpiece and who I know anyway.

Very true I now know three people that have books that you can buy on Amazon that didn't write their books at all. They paid someone to write it so they could be seen as an authority figure in their field. All white males!
