Even scarier 3 days ago I had a meeting with a high profile client and 1 of the directors from Salesforce knew me from when I’d lied on my resume years ago. He still said I was good at what I do in the meeting . I might be talentless but I’m personable and it worked in my favour

Go into CX via general assembly or udemy, freelance and build your resume (ask people you freelance for to give you linkedin recommendations) then get that salary bump.

Theres plenty of facebook groups for businesses that can use ui/ux updates/touch ups, hitup everyone.. email, cold call.. be relentless.

1) Don't try to 'finesse'. Be legitimately skilled to the point that people are knocking at your door to get you at their company. Put up a site where people can easily see your designs and keep on putting them up until you start getting recognition. Share your work on professional networking sites such as linked in. If you keep on, you'll get there quickly.
