You can't tell wtf it's supposed to be.
I saw a trailer during the playoffs and I thought it was about a cat. Started to make a thread on here for CatSet and when I looked it up on youtube it was all about Superman :dahell: There wasn't a cat at all :mindblown: I was so confused I said fukk it and let the thread die as a draft

This movie looked trash! No one wanted this :what:

The thing that bothers me is that the studio could have broke that bread down and using a budget of nothing more than 15-20 million per film, made 5-6 great movies. Imagine some talented up and coming directors working with a budget of 10-15 million dollars. There would be some great original films created but instead we get spinoffs and remakes of trash that no one cares about. This 200 million dollar budget sounds like some "Hollywood Accounting" shyt anyway. I bet a bunch of execs and producers on the film still made bundles of cash :stopitslime:

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Most people don’t watch trailers anymore to even know this movie exists. If I hadn’t seen this thread, I wouldn’t have seen it my damn self.

People also don’t go to the movies anymore, unless it’s a recognized brand or something that went viral, or a well known director, and even then it’s still a crap shoot.

People would much rather stream than go to the movies.

Covid/2020 changed the industry for good.

And for people who complain about studios making super hero movies, or constant reboots, remakes and sequels, THIS is why. They put up $200 million for something “different” and nobody came out to see it. Before streaming, they could make money on the backend via DVD/Blu Ray revenue. That’s obviously gone.

In a month or two, OP will create a thread or be in another thread bytching and complaining about how Marvel fell off or studios are lazy.

You said movies will never go back to pre-covid

The movie theaters are back...people never like wack movie trailers and magically went to the theater

People did watch mediocre movies in theatres in the past though, its how theatres kept the lights on, with walk ups and people going for whatever on a whim. Now a movie needs sufficient internet hype and talk to get people out the house i.e. your three examples.

They must have put nothing into the marketing ,
because this is the first time I hear about this movie.

Cornfields, cows, & an one stoplight town
If this is aimed at women, they failed massively, especially because it just looks like a higher budget version of The Lost City with Sandra Bullock. That movie just came out a few years ago, and this just looks like a remake of it. I don't know what they were thinking. At least market it in a way that makes it look different.
