if your not very technical with your hands op, lease a newer bimmer with warranty so you dont eat the depreciation.
however, 2011 and up (F30) powertrain is very reliable, you dont have much to worry about, other than the initial condition of the bimmmer you looking at.

At that high in mileage. I passed on a 2013 3 series that was $15,000 with maybe 60,000 miles. Unless a car is a Nissan, Honda, or Toyota, I'd stay the hell away from any car over 70,000 miles. Everyone I know whose owned a car from them has gotten it to at least 225,000 miles except mine which is still going strong at 175,000.

Yeahhh, unless you know how to work on it yourself or wanna take the time, it's a waste of time. I'm paying 3k for something like that and maybe it won't be from 2010, but who cares. Having to lease 1 of them and then go through something like the breaks is smhhhh.
And word, my Honda is at about 313000 or somewhere around there. Until we can fully flex and buy the car over twice or Damn near, I'm not touching it
I honestly think the only old(er) german car you buy should have a v8 in it. You won't find many problems with an older m series, but their more common commuter cars like the 3 series will probably give you an headache and pocket pains out of warranty. Also this thread should be in The Show Room

. I'm still driving my 2001 celica I bought ten years back this month. About to reach 175,000 on it. Was looking at a c class or a Maxima to replace it in the spring before my kid is born, but I got no doubt that I could've gotten this car past 230,000 if we had a separate car to keep driving to put a kid in aside from this one.
