In the wake of all these Les miles firing rumors I think we should talk about one of the best teams to not win the national championship.
The 2011 LSU team probably played one of the hardest schedules ive seen. Went undefeated only to lose to the same Alabama team they beat at Tuscaloosa in the championship 21-0.
If Les beat bama in the rematch I dont see any way he'd be on the hot seat right now. This has probably been addressed many times before i became a member but I just wanted to see what the coli thinks.
Do you think Bama should have gotten a second chance vs LSU or that they already had their chance and blew it and that someone else should have played LSU in the national championship game

Personally i think it was unfair to LSU that they had to play Alabama again after taking care of business at Bama earlier in the season. To give Bama and Nick saban a round 2 vs a team is
worthy. We knew what the outcome would be
. Plus bama didnt win there conference championship, which is a precedent most college football aficionados up to that point said was a must.
