naw, the same Kobe that averaged 29/7/6 in the playoff and lit Bruce Bowen(one of the best perimeter defenders ever) in the Spurs series.
Antonio Daniels was the man that was guarding Kobe....
You do know that the Lakers were RUSTY. They went 11 days without playing a game before games 1 of the finals. Even then it took an OT to beat them. Everyone outside of Shaq were clearly off.
Everyone thought the Spurs series was going to 7 games. Since they had the best record in the NBA.
I keep trying to tell you guys to stop respond to troll threads. After multiple flopped threads, they'll just stop.
Why I gotta be a troll? When have I been known to do that?
I made it clear from the first post that I seen this bullshyt on another forum & wanted to get yall opinions on it...
who would win in a 7 game series? 2001 lakers or 2012 Miami heat?
Oh my fault fam, I just assumed it was malc thread off general principle.

The 2001 Lakers were NOT one of the greatest teams ever. They had one of the best RUNS ever but that team was top heavy and that's it. They had 2 of the best 3 players in the league at the time (with Timmy sandwiched between them) and what else? Rick Fox and old ass Ron Harper were their next best players.

Problem is Bron was better than both their stars, a scenario those Lakers never had to deal with that year or any year for that matter. Not to mention 2 other All-Stars and mad 3 point shooters.
Kobe is on record saying Battier is the defender that gives him the most problems. And Bron could give Bean all kinds of problems if they decided to go that route.
Shaq would be a problem of course but 3 centers = 18 fouls.
The Lakers would have no answer whatsoever for the man who would be the best player on the floor.![]()
Bruh you the homie and all but stop it. @ the bolded you've gotta be kidding...The 2001 Lakers were NOT one of the greatest teams ever.

Kobe never said that. 2001 Kobe is a completely different player from the one you see today. Battier couldn't guard that version and neither can Lebron.Kobe is on record saying Battier is the defender that gives him the most problems. Bron might have been better than Kobe, but not by much.

Yeah, you're not one I'm going to take seriously in this thread.
