so him n peterson shuttin eveything down next year?? i havent heard much about peterson whats the word the defense sounds superbowl ready

They're saying Peterson looks elite on D, plus they're experimenting with him at WR.

I don't know about the Cardinals D being Superbowl ready, but I think they're one of the most overlooked units out there. They had a top 7 defense last year and they added Karlos Dansby and John Abraham.

I always liked Dansby.I think he's borderline elite. He's not worth that "Highest paid linebacker ever" money the Dolphins gave him a few years ago, but he's definitely a pro bowl caliber player. He's sorta like the Joe Johnson of the NFL.

You put him next to a dude like Daryl Washington(Best ILB in the game not named Patrick Willis IMO)....It's gone be trouble.....truUHHHHbBBLLLEE

John Abraham should have a good year.Cardinals D line>>>>>Falcons.

He'll probably never see another double team. Not playing next to Dockett,Calais Campbell(Terribly underrated), and Dan Williams(NT they drafted in the 1st round in 2010)

And if Tyrann Mathieu is the real deal like they're saying he is, he should be a upgrade at the Safety position.

I think the Cardinals are going to be surprisingly good this year. The more I look at their roster, I can see them being the dark horse team in the NFC West this year.

It all depends on that O line and Palmer.

Even that O line will be totally different from last year.Their starting LT missed all of last year. He's pretty decent. Was a top 5 pick in the '07 draft (they took him ahead of Adrian Peterson:scusthov:) and made the pro bowl a few years back.

They drafted Johnathon Cooper at Guard with the #7 pick this year.Scouts were calling him and Warmack two of the best Guard prospects to ever enter the draft. He better be, taking a guard at #7 is unheard of.

And lastly, they signed Eric Winston.Another solid, pro bowl caliber RT.Pro Football Weekly has had Winston ranked as a top 5-10 RT in the game the last 3 years.

In the big picture, that's 3 above average O linemen added to the O line this year. The Cardinals have all the ingredients to be a sleeper.

Palmer just has to go back to his Cinci days when he was over the 100 mark in QB rating.Fitzgerald will be the best WR he's ever played with.People rag on him, but he threw for 4,000 yards 22 TD's and 14 ints
last year on a Raiders squad with no receivers.Like I said, people like to shyt on Palmer, but he's still a above average QB IMO

I've only watched him from a distance.I watched that Raiders/Falcons game last year and I thought to myself "He's at least a top 10 QB in the league:leon:" but then he threw a pick 6 to Asante Samuels.

That seems to be the knock on him.He throws ints in the most critical moments of the game.

He blamed it on miscommunication with his receivers. He was working with a bunch of undrafted rookie wr's last year.

Not only that, when I look at the situation he was put in during his last years with the Bengals, and last year, the Raiders, they wasn't the most stable circumstances.

Raiders had maybe the worst offensive Coordinator in the game last year, a front office in flux, and a bunch of undrafted wr's.

His last years with the Bengals, he was coming off a serious injury and had to deal with maybe the 2 craziest/most diva like wr's in the NFL(TO...Ocho).

Palmer is one of them sensitive type muthafukkas. He has to feel the "love" in order to perform well.I don't think the game was fun to him anymore. In AZ, he has more of a "country club" atmosphere. He has a coach who's offensive philosophy meshes perfectly with his abilities and maybe the classiest wr the league has ever seen in Fitzgerald.I think for the first time in about 7 years, he's going to be in a situation he's comfortable in.Arizona is just a therapeutic place. No crazy media...conservative.People go there to "get away" and heal all the time.I think it's the perfect place for Carson to get his mind right.

With the kind of receivers they have in AZ, you don't need to have the strongest arm. They're jump ball type guys.

From what I've seen from watching some of Palmers highlights last year, I'd say his arm strength>>>>Kurt Warner's when he was with the Cardinals.Palmer threw 14 ints last year.

In Kurt Warners 3 years as a starter for the Cardinals, he threw

17 ints
14ints
14 ints

While throwing to much better wr's(Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald) than what the Raiders were working with the last few years while Palmer was there.

I think there's still a slither of hope for Palmer. He's in the perfect situation right now.If he can't take advantage of the situation he's in now, then I'll be ready to call him garbage.

It's kinda crazy. It reminds me a lot of Kurt Warner.Nobody wanted Kurt when he ended up in AZ.They said he was done, stick a fork in him.

Breh. I was a Palmer stan for the linear. Right up until it "leaked" that he wanted out. The truth is, he had some serious weapons for a few years. The trio of Chad Johnson, TJ Houshmandzadeh, and Chris Henry was NICE. Especially when Rudi was in his prime. But from the moment Kimo von fukkingolhoffen slammed into his knee, it was over. He's never been the same QB as he was in that season where he blew out his knee. He hasn't been close. He hesitates and throws it anyways, leading to a lot of mistakes. It doesn't matter what the talent around him is like. There is Larry and...who? People forget just how good Chad was in his prime. He was top 3-5 in the league. Then you added 2 extra WRs that could hold their own. Kevin Walter making a play every now and then. He had weapons. After the knee, it just never worked.

Carson is broken, man.

Yeah...and when Palmer had that trio, his QB rating was 101.1

Cardinals have Michael Floyd. He was their first round pick(13th overall) last year.Lot of scouts had him ranked as a top 10 player in the draft. He's kinda like Fitz, but more physical.Reminds me of a bigger Hines Ward nh.He projects as a #1 wide out.

And Andre Roberts.Dude can get open, but the QB's were beyond garbage. If he played for the Patriots or the Packers, he'd probably be a household name.I think he's a underrated 3rd wr.Real shifty in the open field with RAC

Chad was a good receiver, but he's not in the same class as Fitz.Fitz will probably be top 5 all time when it's all said and done.

I think this Cardinals trio can match and go beyond the trio he had in cinci. We'll see

warner had a much stronger arm at the end then palmer, guy really forces throws he shouldnt make with his weak arm. palmers weak arm and lack of mobility is going to get him rattled in az

I think AZ will be around 8-8. I know Palmer isn't great, but if he at least plays like he did last year it's a big upgrade over the :trash: AZ they had there at QB last year. Mendenhall needs to look like he did in '11 rather than last year off the torn ACL
