2013 already one of the worst years ever in HipHop

da gawd has to save the year we are starving for some quality music

I got an R.A. The Rugged Man album after nine years since his last, and we might possibly be getting a new Deltron 3030 album after thirteen years. Add some upcoming Action Bronson tapes and the underground head in me is eating. Mainstream-wise it's looking pretty crap though.

Music overall has not been very exiting in 2013, it's started of slow.
Even if we look at the commercial market, what? 1 platinum album..?
And that's from JT a 1.5 decade veteran.

Man I stopped looking at sales for about 4 years now.


We got so many rappers out there..but no creativity whatsoever. These top tier names should hold it down every year imo.

Last year started pretty slow as well, I remember Schoolboy Q's album being damn near the only thing I bumped until the summer came... But even other than Kendrick's Album there really ain't alot of shyt from last year that I still really bump like that

Nobody really drops early in the year... just a bunch of mixtapes

Rappers are not releasing shyt though, hiphop would be better if rappers weren't the quickest artist to sell out. The rock scene might not be moving those crazy units anymore, but they've got maaad like 4.5/5 albums dropping in the indie scene, same thing with indie pop and all those things. But indie rap doesn't exist, and the dope rappers are too cool for mixtapes.

Nah we got a long ways to go,mainstreamwise we had Jeezy drop a classic mixtape,Fabs Soul Tape 2 wuz crazy,Future dropped Black Woodstock and FBG mixtape mighta been 2013 too....nobody new and exciting has come on the scene this year though,I think that could be the problem....I'm anticipating the usual suspects who's supposed to drop....would like to see sumbody come out the blue
