Not an agenda.
yea. up until the early '00s, there was a steady flow of people going on & off the throne, and in & out of the top tier. tons of new stars every year as well.

i noticed that things were taking a turn for the worst in the early '00s, when the dudes on top were abusing their political power and pulling other petty stunts to keep their positions. also, as much as i love rap labels, rappers being signed to rappers who want to keep their spot is a bad idea in the long-run.

it basically went downhill with jay-z. and jay is still around putting out horrible music and theyre forcing us to act like its great. if rap was still semi-pure in that aspect, jay would've been off the throne a decade ago and all this stuff hes been doing the past 7 years would basically be irrelelvant. then 50 and others came thru with detrimental f*ckery as well.

lol @ Kendrick & cole being kings of anything.

always somebody that gotta ruin a good point by throwing their personal agendas in the mix.

I was out all last night and missed, just saw the cyphers.

Other than Crooked I's, the slaughterhouse shyt did nothing for me.

TDE was tight especially Kendrick and Jay Rock. Jay Rock need to drop something, nikka got power in his voice, I was rocking with his shyt.

Real Husbands was straight :laff: Nickie Cannon tho :whew:

Their fans are actually buying records while you guys pirate everything in sight and then laugh at first week numbers or rappers still being unsigned. No black artists is seeing multiplat these days, but Eminem can sneeze out an album and sell 3 million.

It all about the economics, not all this fuzzy good feel rhetoric about unity and other nonsense. I still buy albums of artists I like, because of all the free music they give me, even if the album is weak.

Not true,
It may seem like now that all African Americans pirate,
But we did not start it,
Back in the 90's we had a steady middle class buying our records, and as well as most of our lower class too. My first time I saw a P2P Sharing program was in 1998, my friend who was white was downloading every Wu Tang and Biggie album, each song one by one due to dial up of course. He had his own PC in his bedroom. It was the most terryfying and amazing thing ever. Back then AA was not messing with tech like that unless you were an important businessman. Shortly after the Asians stated bootlegging as well. African Americans did not start having personal PC's in the average homes until the mid 00's, when They became affordable. But by that time music went downhill anyway and an agenda of pushed rappers non stop, who wants to support that? Why you think BET now only targets cater to Women, Homosexuals and Children? Their easier to control. Hell,
From a design point of view, look at their logo. It dose not even scream Black power, because black power is universal, for both black men and women. It's not supposed to look like a Bravo logo, and you know what crowd that channel caters too.

I'm talking about the purists, they can be white, black, Asian, etc...

But the casual fans and women will eat up Drake's whole movement and allow him to move 700k first week.

shyt like that is why they need Cole to perform up there. ASAP Rocky freestyle was straight Tip Drill and some of the young nikkas better be one hit wonders. Too much club music or too much one sided shyt will make Hip Hop wack. The sad thing is that people will think that ALL of the young generation is wack, but the best ones weren't even there.

They really missed an opportunity not letting J. Cole perform Crooked Smile right after MC Lyte accepted her award and gave her speech.

so all of you just gonna ignore what mc lyte said at the end of her speech by finally being the ONE female to actually admit women need us to "protect them when they cant protect themselves" :mjpls:

:dead: at how the camera cut right to 2chainz tho when she asked rappers to stop cursing women out :dead:
