Like wat (legit curious)

I do too, just want to compare notes

New S4, M4, S5, M3, C63

Slightly used M5, S7, S6, RS5(?)

That's just off the top of my head at 4am and I'm sure there are other run of the mill cars.

You're not losing more than 5-10k on any of those cars and they'll have a warranty and no wear items on the new cars that'll need replacement for a good 15-20k miles. The 7 you're loosing 20-30k on at least and someone said a new body style is about to drop so...
Flagships are notoriously train wrecks, I see no purpose in ever owning one. More than that it's a car to be driven in. The only way it would even remotely wash is as business car and even then you won't recoup the loss in value.

The 7 is a comically bad purchase.

The CLS is not getting a new face this year. The new model came out 2012 and 2015 the LCI came out..
I thought u were getting the 7 :dahell:

I like the older CLS but the new one is a much better buy than the 7. Its a young man's car

Yea there has to be a reason S classes and 7s are mainly executive cabs in NYC. I rarely new ones driven by owners south of 96th street.

Would you spend 60k on a 2013 BMW 750 even though the new body comes out this year? Any other cars in that price range would you substitute for it?

Only get a 7-series certified pre-owned and an extended factory warranty. Plus they're kinda outside what BMW enthusiasts could consider to be Ultimate Driving Machines. Outside of the Alpina B7 those things are barges. I would substitute a Dinan tuned 550 M-sport or an M5.

No.

Nissan GTR, 13' Audi RS5, 13' Audi S6, 14' CTS-V Coupe, 10' CL63 AMG, 14' Corvette, etc...

This post doesnt make sense to me

if you are going to recommend alternatives wouldnt it make more sense to recommend the same type of car....

If dude is looking for a four door sedan why recommend a coupe?

Jags are beautiful cars but the number one problem I've heard for years have been eletricl problems..:mindblown: how come they haven't been fixed yet?! Who owns jaguar?

Tata motors, the same people that own Range Rover..... I never had those issues, the only thing for me was the fuel economy and maintenance costs

The resale value on Jags compared to Audi/BMW/MB has never been good, but I think that has to do with the fact that Jaguar doesnt make small cars like they do.... BMWs biggest seller is the 3 series, for mercedes its the C class , now that Jaguar is coming up with a competitor for the 3 series and C class they might hold a better resale value .....

XE is coming but it wont save Jag. Aside from wanting to be different, and the good looking interiors, theres no reason to get a Jag. Jags make the Germans look reliable  And the brand doesnt carry the weight the Germans do. Thats why they are so cheap. Low key if u are looking at Jags u might as well get a Hyundai Genesis/Equus. I have seen middle age divorcees drop their brow at the sight of an Equus. It looks expensive enough

OP's original question was "any other cars in that price range YOU would substitute it for?"

so I listed the cars I would prefer over the 7-Series instead. learn to read.

:patrice: That doesnt make sense... Jaguars has big midsize sedan and small compact coupe race luxury cars... The only thing bmw has going for it is the NAME... it's like the fukking Apple of motors...

yeah but BMW cake off the 3 series , its their biggest seller, same with mercedes and the c class...... apart from the States, Africa, and the middle east Gas prices are horrific.... a lot of people want a luxury car that is economical at the same time..... thats where Jaguar missed a trick ....big engined cars dont hold value
