2. rose got a max contract after winning the MVP @ age 22 while missing like 2 games total in 3 seasons. that contract was a sure thing when they did it. you can't blame anyone for what happened there.
3. as for the luxury tax, even the lakers are bout to be in salary dump mode after this season ends. no team in the league can afford the punative damage that you get once you get hit with the repeater penalty.
