#14 .....I have no clue who to reach for there since our main need is DT...

I think Sly Williams out of UNC is the way to go. Might even be able to trade back a few spots and get him. He'd be a perfect fit for the Panthers.

Jets are picking 9th, 39th, 73rd in the 1st 3 rounds.
Could come away with something like this:

1st - Jarvis\Werner\Mingo or best avail. OL
2nd - Lacy (RB - Bama)
3rd - Klein (QB - KState)

Adding a pass rusher or best OL is key in first round. Need a RB and Lacey looked like a beast in National Champ. Klein as a QB?

I think our WRs are aight. Holmes, Edwards, Hill, Kerley....even if we gotta cut Holmes to make some cap room, be OK.

Lots of needs on this team, and cap issue up the wazoo, but I think if you build this draft around another pash rusher or top OL, a RB like Lacy and a project QB like Klein we would be in good shape going forward.

This year we will be lucky to be .500, our cap is a mess and the coaching staff, starting QB need to go.

Draft for the future with a 1st 3 rounds like this and come back in 2014 in a good spot.

:beli: Why not keep Tebow Then? Plus Klein will be lucky to get picked in the 6th round

And you think Klien is going to be a Qb in the League :mindblown: dude ran the ball over 500 times in the last 2 years

It doesn't have to be Klein...but a QB like that who will fall in the draft.
Maybe Landry Jones, maybe it is Klein, but to get them in the 3rd or later isn't too bad.

Scouting report on Klein:

Heisman runner up. Team captain. Big 12 quarterback of the year. Usually these accolades promise a first round pick and a whole lotta ESPN love, but Collin Klein has never really followed in the footsteps of his peers. The unwanted kid out of Loveland, Colorado mastered K-State’s zone-read offense but failed to receive a Senior Bowl invite despite completing 65 percent of his passes while averaging 8.7 yards/attempt (although Klein was recently announced as an East/West Shrine Bowl participant). Combine those numbers with a 16:9 touchdown:interception ratio, and you come out with Klein’s 149.2 season passer rating. With prototypical size (6’5″, 225 lbs), he was difficult to tackle and almost impossible to sack (only going down 14 times this year).

Given the Jets woes on the OLine, and lack of a running game, having a big, physical QB who can extend the plays, move around in the pocket and even run the ball some wouldn't be a bad thing.

At the same time, the Jets will have another top 10 pick next year in what is likely going to be a much better QB class, so it wouldnt be a bad thing to wait either.

Just throwing around some ideas :yeshrug:
