WE DON'T PURCHASE ALBUMS. ONLY TIME WE SPEND MONEY ON HIP HOP IS CONCERTS. THUS IS REASON 360 DEALS WERE MADE.

I guess people finally stopped "buying" into them "bling, bling" raps. It's only for so long you can make the same album over and over talking about money, cars, hoes and selling dope.

Oh hip-hop,
We've been waiting for the return of social raps and commentary.

J. Cole has the highest first week numbers all year :salute:

1. Speak for yourself, some of us still do buy albums.

2. Your logic is the reason Hip-Hop albums aren't being released much anymore. You can't sustain the game on mixtapes. You need retail(or digital retail) albums with budgets for great producers, great engineering, etc. You think Jay Z, Nas, etc are going to start spending their own money to drop free albums just b/c you plan on coming to their concert?

No, they're just gonna stop rapping as much. Other newer rappers are just gonna start jumping on stuff w/ Justin Bieber and other pop acts.
