Not that I don't think he has it in him.. I just think its not going to be anywhere near the likes of GKMC.

You're not being clear.

Why do you think it's not going to be anywhere near GKMC? Expectations will be too high? Or do you think it'll be similar to what Nas went through, when he followed up Illmatic with IT Was Written?

I think he has it in him to have a better follow up to his debut

Drake starts to get that post-Massacre 50/post-jail Weezy hate and starts to lose fans at the end of 2014

this as well.. I dont see Drake lasting much longer.

Hm...this is a reasonable expectation...fans can be something else...IWW was a dope album, but heads hated it because it wasn't like Illmatic, and felt more commercial, with the whole Nas Escobar thing.

BUT IWW was dope in it's own right, imo. And looking back now it's probably Nas's peak lyrically. I think you're more talking about fan reception as opposed to the quality of the album itself.

Yeah, I think it will be a solid release, will receive pretty good reception, sell well.. but I think due to expectations he has already created..it will fall short and not receive the same treatment that GKMC did..like you said.. the Nas treatment.. but years down the road it will receive its deserved respect.

Shouldnt have said mediocre in my initial post.. i think it will be good, but not on the level of GKMC*

I think that the follow up wouldn't be well recieved if he tries to re-create GKMC. If Kendrick comes with something new and fresh, I think people would love the second album.

Fans will hate.
Fans will stan.
Artists will sell.
Artist will flop.
Pleas will be copped.
Artists will be clowned.
Fans will overstate their opinion and importance of their favorite artist.
Said artist won't care.
People will pretend they don't care about the grammys, then complain when their favorite artist doesn't win at the grammys.
The world will go on.
And you'll be back here in 2014, same place, same time.....asking this all over again.

asap rocky will drop another classic album :wow:

nah, long live one of my favorites this year.. but i see his sophomore album being his real breakthrough. hes still fairly new ..i don't think hes even close to his peak and I could see it putting him on another level or the mob album being received really well and pushing asap further. yams and him must know he cant be on that pretty flacko fashion shyt forever and it has no sort of longevity and he knows he gotta step it up lyrically and i think he will surprisingly drop a really good album that proves all the doubts about him wrong and fizzles the hate out and garners a larger fanbase and makes big moves. i could see him taking Drakes spot :yeshrug:

or he drops an ok album..but it doesn't do much for him, doesn't sell well at all and he stops making music completely and starts modelling full time :bryan:
