:Pause: if Marcus Smart is in fact a PG he has to be the thickest/muscular pg I've sen...6'4 225 athletic not much of a shooter but seems tough think he will be a good lead guard for teams.

How the hell is Julius Randle 22 years old was that a typo on the combine?

huge typo. he's one of the youngest players there. 19 years old and won't turn 20 till November.

Hell yeah I was like hows this dude a freshman they pulling a damn Shabazz. If he was 22 his ass would be picked in the late 20s...I hope he works out well I believe in this dudes game because he's a tenacious rebounder and seems like a competitor.

Uncertain grounds
So it's safe to say Vonleh is going to shoot up the boards right?

The Indiana power forward helped himself in a big way by measuring 6-8 without shoes (making him most likely between 6-9 and 6-9 ½ with shoes) and 247 pounds while sporting a massive 7-4 ¼ wingspan. Vonleh had the second-longest wingspan among all 60 prospects, second to only 7-footer Isaiah Austin (7-4 ½ wingspan). More importantly, Vonleh had the largest height-to-wingspan differential (8 ¼ inches). Vonleh also measured freakishly large hands in terms of length (9 ¾) and width (11 ¾), both tops in the combine. Vonleh's hand width measured second best in our database next to Greg Smith's 12-inch mitts.

He's also 2nd youngest and top rebounder per mins in the draft. Top 5 pick.

:mjlol:

:laff:

Are we talking about the same Durant that averaged 26/11 on 47/40/81 shooting in the same conference as Wiggins played in?

You sound ignorant. Extremely ignorant.

Durant's style of play was more conducive for the college game than Wiggins. Durant best skill in addition to his crazy height and length is his ability to catch and shoot. That skill is very important in college where there alot of zone defenses, the paint is packed, and spacing is terrible. That is the main reasons he had such crazy numbers in college. Wiggins on the other hand is more in the Jordan mold. Cat quick athlete with crazy ups and explosive first step. He never really got a chance to showcase this for 2 reasons. First and foremost, his ball-handling needs improvement, but second, the college game lacks the spacing to allow him to showcase his abilities.

That won't happen at the next level. NBA basketball is all about spacing and pick n rolls. Wiggins first step and athletic ability will allow him to dominate from day 1. Just look up D-Rose's numbers in college as a freshman, then look up his numbers as a rookie in the NBA. I think Wiggins will make a similar jump.

Looking at collegiate production and using it as a barometer of NBA success or the value of a prospect is simply STUPID.

Breh did you say Wiggins is a better prospect than KD was? :usure:

if both were coming out at the same time and I had the #1 pick, I'd take Wiggins easily. IMO he'll be a much better defensive player than KD could ever dream of being while also being a very good offensive player. I don't know if he'll be a scorer on the level of Durant winning scoring titles right and left, but I think his overall game will be better.

27/6/5 with all-nba 1st team defense >>> anything Durant has ever done

thats what I see prime Wiggins at age 25-30 doing.

Dude you'd lose your job...shyt done shouldn't of went before him but since centers are so rare I can understand that but taking wiggins over KD a dude who damn near averaged 30 and 10 in college...wow.

you guys really need to stop focusing so much on college stats. college and NBA are different worlds. Michael Jordan NEVER averaged 20ppg in college. Just think about that. The unanimous GOAT who came into the NBA and dropped 28/6/6 his rookie season couldn't average over 19.9ppg in college eventhough he played 3 fukkin seasons.

Michael Beasley came in right after Durant and bodied the Big 12. In fact, his numbers per40 mins were actually better than Durant.

Per 40 mins
Durant - 28.8ppg (47.3 fg%), 12.4rpg, 1.5apg, 2.1spg, 2.1bpg
Beasley - 33.3ppg (53.2 fg%), 15.7rpg, 1.5apg, 1.6spg, 2.1 bpg

And remember, Beasley didn't even go #1 his year. That was D-Rose.

College and NBA = different worlds

Wiggins game is made for the NBA. He'll walk in tomorrow and be the best athlete on the floor from day 1. All he needs is to tighten up the dribble and become better at absorbing contact in the paint rather than shying away from it. If he does, he'll be one of the best players in the history of the league. He's got the skills its just about fulfilling his promise.

injuries could derail him like they did Rose and McGrady. he could also be complacent like Vince Carter, since I'm not sure I see the same dog in him to be great that I saw in Kobe.

but if he wants to be GREAT, there will be no stopping him. He'll be one of the best this game has ever seen. All you needed to do was watch him play this past season at Kansas. The flashes of brilliance he exhibited are stuff you simply can't teach.

Didn't say it was. But to say he's a much better prospect than Durant is stupid. It really is.

Especially considering Durant's height, ballhandling skills, and shooting ability, all of which have been on full display for years now. Durant put up a 32/8/5 season this year. That's an all-time great season for perimeter player. Wiggins might be great eventually but I'll hold on him achieving something like that.
