Is Jordan Hill that much of hot commodity??
:ehh: He has played the best ball of his career in a contract year, a perfect back up big man to have on a team, can step in here and there and start when someone gets hurt. All hustle and heart, gets a bit overrated at times, but that's just what happens when you are on the Lakers for the most part. :skip:

Seems like the Dubs don't believe in David Lee anymore, all the dudes they're interested in play PF :wow:

I'm not mad at Double/Double Lee.....don't know what they're thinking (if any of it is true)...

Shumpert really isn't that good though.

I still wouldn't give him up for Reggie Bullock & the right to swap mediocre PGs. I would try & get a pick for Shump before using him to try & get Darren Collison who could opt out looking for more money after the season leaving you with pretty much nothing since I doubt Bullock would get any time.

Sean Deveney: OK, I stand corrected on @BrooklynNets. Jordan Hill might be lukewarm on NYC, but was just told that Prokhorov OK'd a deal for him. Up to @Lakers

Lee is getting older, and defensively he's never been that great.

They aren't getting anything but a very late first rounder or a 2nd rounder for Shumpert, he's been pretty trash this season.

i'd still like some sort of deal to ship Eric Gordon to the sixers, if we could get Hawes that'd be great we need another big man

Sources told ESPN.com that the Nets are now trying to complete a proposed trade with the Los Angeles Lakers in which they would take Jordan Hill into their $5.25 million disable player exception for Brook Lopez.

The Nets, sources said, are prepared to complete the deal, despite the fact that adding Hill in this manner will add more than $15 million to this season's payroll and take it beyond the $200 million mark. But sources say the Lakers are talking to other teams about Hill and haven't yet committed to deal him to Brooklyn.

C.Webb (ATL):

Do the Hawks do anything at the deadline? Ferry is a smart GM, but I am confused that we aren't sellers and playing for the lotto. With Horford out, doesn't it make sense to dangle Teague, Korver, Lou Williams, even Millsap?

Chad Ford (1:36 PM):

Hard to get into the lotto in the Eastern Conference right now! Way easier to make the playoffs. With that said, I think all the guys you mention can be had for the right price. Danny Ferry knows this isn't the team you build around going forward.
