Sack It To Me
NEW YORK -- J.J. Watt and Rob Gronkowski are unanimous selections for the 2014 Associated Press NFL All-Pro team announced Friday.

i
J.J. Watt has recorded 54 percent of the Texans' sacks this season. That's the second-highest percentage of a team's sacks for a player since individual sacks have been tracked (1982).

Year Player Percentage Team
1989 Tim Harris 57 Packers
2014 J.J. Watt 54 Texans
2012 Aldon Smith 51 49ers
-- Elias Sports Bureau
Houston's Watt did it in an unusual manner. He was listed on all 50 ballots by a nationwide panel of media members who regularly cover the league, with 45 of the votes for defensive end and the other five for defensive tackle. So he actually was a first-team end and a second-team tackle in gaining his third straight selection.

No such confusion for New England's Gronkowski, who grabbed all the votes for tight end.

Dallas led all teams with four All-Pros, including guard Zack Martin, the only rookie on the squad. League rushing leader DeMarco Murray, tackle Tyron Smith and wide receiver Dez Bryant made it.

Seattle and Pittsburgh each had three All-Pros. There were 16 AFC players and 11 from the NFC.

I don't think he made any of the two teams, but just received votes (outside looking in for 2nd team). First team was Dez & AB, second team was Demaryius & Nelson.

time to give Jerry credit.

Our personnel department has killed it these last few years. The trade up to snatch Dez was risky but worth it. The Tyron Smith pick was really good, he's a cornerstone for years. People initially clowned the Frederick pick saying it was a reach, but he was a top 5 Center his first year in the league. The success of those two helped develop this years pick (Zack Martin) into a all-pro caliber player his rookie season. Fans were mad we took Martin over Manziel. lol. And the Romo contract seems genius at the level he is playing. That's crazy. In the last 5 years, the Cowboys have drafted at an elite level. Guys like Sean Lee, Anthony Hitchens, Terrence Williams, etc. flat out steals. Not only that, but we have signed decent free agents consistently and orchestrated some slick trades. Getting Rolando McClain for nothing was huge. I also gotta give credit to Jerry for sticking with Garrett. He's become a lot better and this whole coaching staff is pretty serious.

Would yall trade up to grab Winston for the future? :mjcry:
