why on planet earf would manziel ever go #1 overall

Hype. The media machine is running on full cylinders for ole boy. Sports Illustrated has a link on their front page talking about "Watch Manziel run a stellar time" I read it yesterday and they were pumping it like he dusted all of the other QBs, meanwhile in real life Manziel ran an official 4.68, so they had to edit the title (it was a different more outrageous title yesterday) and the opening paragraph.

Imagine the reaction if Cam said that Carolina not drafting him would be the worst mistake they ever would make. He'd get crucified, but Johnny gets a pass for it. They just say he's brash. He's the NFL version of Jason Williams (white chocolate)

I think most black athletes know this....but also as long as white men are the majority in the front office there will always be a double standard.

What's the hope though? People compare him to Russell Wilson, but he's about the same size, immature, makes more mistakes, takes hits, just a tad worse of a passer, slower, yet he would go #1 and someone like RW goes in the 3rd round. Makes no sense to me

He's only a tad bit slower (by .1 of a second), a little bit taller, couple pounds heavier and put up better stats in college in a much tougher division:camby:

I know alot of yall are on the Russell Wilson bandwagon now, but his numbers before he transferred to Wisconsin and the weak Big 10 was kinda :scusthov: while he was playing at NC State in the ACC:ufdup:
