There seemed to be, and maybe its just me, a decrease in the amount of screen time that the producers of NFL games put cheerleaders on the TV in the 90s and 2000's. They can put whatever they want during downtime, a camera on the crowd, at a player, at a coach, at the ground, at the owner's box, etc.
Now, it seems like they are slowly going back to giving cheerleaders more screen time. Maybe it's to quell the Michael Sam generated fire.

Its our home opener and our defense is dirty. As long as Taze is healthy, all that ridiculous offensive shyt you got to cheer on last week....well, it'll at least be diminished. You aint playin the Saints, and no goddamn records gettin broken this week.
