days far from over, and while i didnt expect Ces AT ALL, if you would have told me they got Lester without trading Nunez/Robertson or Olsen id say stfu
those guys are the core of the farm going forward, still possible they could be dealt in a 2B deal but i think Billy has made it known he regards those guys highly

A's traded a year and a half of cespedes for 8 Lester starts. And we are a team that sucks at hitting in the playoffs (if they even make it). That milone trade is straight comedy.. Billy Beane is a fukkin idiot

I say go for the gusto. We've been known for having a really good team year in and year out for the past, what, 12 years? Never won shyt. Rarely even make it out the first damn round. At least this year we can say we really tried.

2007 to 2012 was rough.
I like Cespedes, but that .256 batting average and that .303 on base percentage wont be hard to replace. Plus he's gone after next season anyway. Either make that trade now, when the A's are the clear cut frontrunners to win it all...or wait til next summer when we might not be, and we might not be able to get one of the best pitchers in baseball for him.

I don't know why the organization has had such a low opinion of Milone. He's a very solid 4th/5th starter and they keep kicking him around in the minors for no reason. I can't even begin to understand the purpose of trading him for a guy that they had already cut this season.
if Reddikk can be close to what he was in '12 that would be huge, looks really good since the break
Scribner was DFA'd, guys actually pretty good but just not a defined role for him here. Chavez should be fine in long relief, and im sure he'll be right back in the ro if Hammel keeps strugglin
Vogt starting to come down to earth a bit, but he deserves to play thru it. like the guys approach and think he can contribute in a few diff roles

solid debut by lester and huge offensive surge in the 5th inning. kazmir pitching today so i like their chances of taking the series.
