Everywhere...You never there.
Florida is a good academic school, Vandy is even better. They're in the SEC w/ the likes of Miss St., Kentucky and 2 former Big 12 schools.

So the academic argument for confs is mostly bs

Word. An outdated talking point at this juncture... unless you're in admissions or doing some real investigative journalism on each football scholly admit, reviewing admissions paperwork ... :camby:

I was never a fan of this playoff thing anyway. People rag the BCS but for the most part, they've gotten the two most deserving teams in the title game WAAAAAY more often than not....

this and I don't like the fact that you can get a mulligan for losing along the way....we all know TCU is a more complete team but should they be ahead of Baylor? I mean the committee didn't even drop Univ of Miss behind Bama after they lost...also why are they and Auburn even in the T10 anymore?? Quality losses matter more than wins now?

Speaking of the BCS, that and the playoff seriously devalued the SEC Championship game. The SEC title game was originally a playoff for the Sugar Bowl.

Like I said and you said, just do conference champs and let the committee decide seedings and at-large, but that would make too much sense.

There is no way in a million years Notre Dame would have ever joined the Big 12. Notre Dame is all about academics and the Big 12 has horrible academic schools.

Conference champs of all FBS conferences and 6 at large (1 for an independent, and 5 other SEC teams :skip: ). 16 is what is needed. I doubt we'd get that though.

Best Bet is 8 after the current contract with the Power 5 conference champs and 3 at large.

Seems that way bruh. I swear me and my bro in law (he a Cane fan) has been wondering....who in the fukk has Auburn beaten this season? People will point to Ole Miss but you and I know they were living off that Bama win for as long as they could. :camby:

That TCU and Baylor shyt is so :mindblown:/ CFN is :mindblown: over it too.....

4. America, get ready for TCU
The stage was set, being ranked sixth in the latest CFP rankings and with a showdown coming against No. 7 Kansas State. The Horned Frogs were supposed to be banged up, and the Wildcats were supposed to have the right makeup and style to pull off the win, but instead, the tables turned. Kansas State lives off of controlling the ball and time of possession, but it was TCU whose offense was on the field for over 35 minutes, won the turnover battle (+1) and committed one fewer penalty. Now, with such a dominant win in such a big game, and with relative lightweight games – compared to Kansas State - against Kansas, Texas and Iowa State to go, 11-1 and a Big 12 title is possible. If the team was sixth last week, it could now be knocking on the playoff four door, but …

5. And then there’s Baylor
Baylor 61, TCU 58. TCU beat Minnesota, and while that might not be a world-beater of a non-conference game, it’s like playing the Green Bay Packers compared to what Baylor faced in beatdowns against SMU, Northwestern State and Buffalo. The 41-27 loss at West Virginia – TCU beat the Mountaineers in Morgantown – killed any BU playoff buzz, but a 48-14 blasting of Oklahoma in Norman just brought it back for the team ranked 12th in the last CFP ranking. With Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Kansas State to close, if the Bears go 11-1, even with the loss to West Virginia on the resume they can still say they beat TCU and, technically, will win the Big 12 title on a tie-breaker, even if they’ll be listed as co-champions.

I'm glad I'm overseas now. I don't too much care about the whole system no more. If it wasn't for me having a slingbox, I would only watch highlights
