Morgan Mahalak thats guy who i was thinking of! Travis Green is the kid im excited for i think he might be the closest thing to Mariota. I agree Helfrich has been very good at recruiting. Which is a big plus i give him over Chip. Helfrich is recruiting talent plus guys that doing these the Oregon way. Chip didnt care much about talent just are they Oregon type of guys.

Chip always had bad recruiting classes because he hated the whole processes. Which was a big reason why he wanted to go to the pros. He also like i said didnt care much for talent just are the Oregon guys & can he mold them into guys who fit his system. But Chip put Oregon on the map for Helfrich to now be able to get these top recruits. Chip went through that so Helfrich didnt have too. :wow:

Ty Griffin sitting this year i think will help him on being a better passer. Mariota wasnt the best throwing coming out of highschool. But he sat he redshirted his freshman year & now he is the GOAT.

I need to watch Waller havent got to watch a lot of him.

Jesus, I forgot all about Ty.

But re: the bolded..

So true.. :ohlawd:

And Helf was Chips guy, really fought for him to get the HC spot. I was a little worried about Helf. Still kinda am. But Helf has been pretty good.

actually scott frost is the dude that does most of the recruiting dude been reigning in good folks

Yup, and also Don Pellum. Pellum's recruiting is apparently off the charts good. It is what gave him the DC job over Neal apparently. And DB coach Neal is a great recruiter too.

How you going to Say no to this guy..

I didnt even know Ty was on our team until i read a practice report on Goducks.com.

The jury is still out on Helfrich for me too. But i like the way he has had the team bounce back after the lost to AZ. The only he needs to get fixed it Pellum & the defense. He needs to get on Pellum & tell him to tighten that shyt up if we want to get this NC. :mjpls:

Read somewhere that he might be in-contention for the Florida job.

I think Don has gotten better over the course of the year. Dude is frustrating as hell on his 3rd down calls. But at the very least, his in game calling has gotten better as the year has gone on. So I will give him a bit of a pass for being a first time DC, and just getting the hang for the feel of the game.

But ya, not sold on Don. But I do like his progress even tho, it is a bit worrying. If that makes sense.

Agreed. As much as Don's play calling has gotten better. Just don't trust his play calling yet. Always nervous when the Ducks are on D. Especially on third down.
