This is why we need 8 teams, like ASAP.

Every school can't be in the SEC. So if you're gonna prop the SEC at the top in the rankings/polls then there's NEVER going to be room for anyone else. If Miss St/Miss go back to the bottom, they'll prop up LSU, and Georgia. It's just a continuous circle.

It's not fair to assume the other Big 4 confs are garbage so they all need to be undefeated just to compete for a playoff spot, yet give the SEC schools a 1 game loss cushion.

Let it go to 8 so if the SEC schools are at the top then they have to prove it by beating other conferences in a playoff game

No one thinks every conference is garbage. Just 2 of them

Automatic qualifiers are not the way to go. FSU won't be the powerhouse without a talent like Winston.

i was arguing with some idiot on Yahoo about him earlier. Said Sims has been lackluster all season. They really want Coker to start

man them shyts was $200 2 months ago for nosebleeds....can only imagine what they are now

Blake has been the best bama QB I ever seen .

We have never had a QB with his type of numbers

I'm a hardcore fan but even I wouldn't go to the Rose Bowl then go to Jerry's World for the game. That's a bit too much. They've got to find a way to make this more accessible to fan bases. We already don't travel but we'd be in NOLA in full force

2 neutral site games Is so dumb. Who in the hell is going to travel to a semifinal game when you can potentially go see your team in the ship?

College basketball has had this problem for years with the NCAA tournament. I don't understand why they would create the same problem in football

I've said all of that to say this... They like to put down other conferences...but you play who you have to play. FSU doesn't control the fact that VT has regressed over the years. Ohio State isn't at fault that Michigan can't get back right nationally. Can you blame Baylor that Texas has fell off? I can keep going but you see what you i'm trying to convey. Everyone can't play in the SEC or even the Pac 12 so why push that talking point like it matters to the 112 other teams not in those conferences. You have a commercials saying "anyone can get in" for the playoffs... then spend each day of each week saying "well not really". :beli:

This is true, you can't control how well the teams IN CONFERENCE play, but you do have a say so in NON CONFERENCE OPPONENTS.

Ohio State for example played Navy, V tech, Cincy and kent state OOC. None of those teams are exactly world beaters, and i know some teams like vandy and tenn backed out of their games with OSU. But you have to do better out of conference when your conference is weaker. You have to compensate for that in other areas. No reason why OSU can't play neutral site games with a team like FSU, Bama, and Oregon to get their resume strong for the season

i feel you, but they're done anyway. OSU if they beat sparty will move by them anyway so u good.
Hope so, in the mind frame though that no B10 team getting in regardless of what happen. When the president of the committee said last night that for Auburn over Oregon they looked at body of work, but for Alabama over TCU they turned on the tape and said Bama better than TCU. TCU body of work clearly better, they making the case for what they want to be. Anybody can clearly see that. If OSU beat MSU n LSU beat Bama, u no LSU jumping OSU.

These schedules made years in advance, we have home n home with Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, notre dame coming up. Thing is if these programs fall off we get penalized.

I was just about to reply saying the same thing. That's like Clemson had to cancel home and home series with Oklahoma and Ole Miss because the ACC adding Syracuse, Pitt, Louisville and part time member Notre Dame.

They were suppose to play UGA '13-'14 Oklahoma '15-'16 Ol Miss '17-'18 they were able to salvage the UGA one...but the latter 2 had to go. Because some lesser teams backed out they were able to add Auburn '16-'17 and Texas A&M in '19-'20. I can see Clemson dropping SC State or some other cupcake if the playoff ish keep trending the way it is.

Guarantee you can get the tix you want at a good price thru the school. Before FSU pulled that hoe move and told me I had to reup my booster membership to get a ticket, I paid like $125 for mine right on the 20 yd line in section E. It's only in the secondary market that they try to clean you out

That's like us. I think us and Mich St are the only two non PAC12 schools to ever schedule a H&A series with Boise St.
