lol I told my wife about cha traveling to games and what not and how i'ma be about that life. told her how you said i shouldn't bring sand to the beach when UF goes to LSU and she hit me with the ", if you going to LSU for the game, then i'm going too and we might as well make it a road trip boo". The schedule doesn't really matter. Wins over shytty teams are still better than close losses to top teams. Osu is where they are because they lost to va tech. Had they played Akron and won, and was undefeated right now they would be right there in the hunt of the playoffs, and probably a top 5 team. That's dumb as fukk. There is still zero incentive to schedule tough teams, because the loss is so penalizing as opposed to a W over some random ass team

Being undefeated still matters way too much in cfb

It should not be the chief qualification when no one has the same schedule

It does when the gap between the best teams and the worst teams is still VERY thin.

On any given saturday you can get hurt or just be OUT STRATEGIZED by a gimmick offense or fumble a couple of times and you're not undefeated.

Look at the scores of LEGENDARY teams like 01 miami, barely beating boston college and stuff. 2007 LSU lost two games and were politic'd into the title game. 98 TN only beat syracuse by one should they have been punished because they didn't have the best performance or should they have been heralded because they were undefeated?


look at 1986 - OKLAHOMA had a god-mode squad..only lost to MIAMI...MIAMI only lost to PENN STATE...PENN STATE was 12-0 and won the title...should penn state have been penalized because they ONLY beat cincinatti 23-17?

NO because undefeated is UNDEFEATED when its so ridiculously impossible to do.
