It does when the gap between the best teams and the worst teams is still VERY thin.

On any given saturday you can get hurt or just be OUT STRATEGIZED by a gimmick offense or fumble a couple of times and you're not undefeated.

Look at the scores of LEGENDARY teams like 01 miami, barely beating boston college and stuff. 2007 LSU lost two games and were politic'd into the title game. 98 TN only beat syracuse by one should they have been punished because they didn't have the best performance or should they have been heralded because they were undefeated?

look at 1986 - OKLAHOMA had a god-mode squad..only lost to MIAMI...MIAMI only lost to PENN STATE...PENN STATE was 12-0 and won the title...should penn state have been penalized because they ONLY beat cincinatti 23-17?

NO because undefeated is UNDEFEATED when its so ridiculously impossible to do.

of course, crimson, you don't know shyt about college football besides trumpeting hillbillie talking points, so you're welcome for this LESSON.

Who would even waste their time to argue with someone who would say something so absurd?

I would just chalk them up as a mouthbreather and keep it moving.I haven't heard one person mention Coker since the beginning of September.

Bruh I had to catch myself when a few Gamecock fans made a thread about how Deshaun Watson wasn't good and how Dylan Thompson was "leaps and bounds" better. I was like :stopitslime:. Then went on about their defense was just as good... If not better than Clemson's they just are having tackling issues right now. :snoop:. I was surprised some of their own fans started to check them on it

after seeing Worley the first few weeks, I wondered why Dobbs wasn't starting. I thought he worked out a lot with Manning and Cutcliffe in the offseason?

I told ppl about Dobbs before the season. All it took was me watching the spring game clips. He broke off a long run with ease and completed some nice deep balls.

He had me concerned about him starting against us. If Butch Jones and his staff were smart they woulda started him b/c running QB's give Mike Stoops trouble.

I thought I heard something about them wanting to redshirt him or something along those lines. IDK why when it's clear he has the most upside. I got a feeling we may can sneak into the SEC title game if UT can beat Mizzo (along w/Mizzo losing again to Kentucky), and Auburn takes care of Georgia for us, and we beat Vandy and USCe

Dobbs's an aerospace-engineering major too :wow:

I've said all of that to say this... They like to put down other conferences...but you play who you have to play. FSU doesn't control the fact that VT has regressed over the years. Ohio State isn't at fault that Michigan can't get back right nationally. Can you blame Baylor that Texas has fell off? I can keep going but you see what you i'm trying to convey. Everyone can't play in the SEC or even the Pac 12 so why push that talking point like it matters to the 112 other teams not in those conferences. You have a commercials saying "anyone can get in" for the playoffs... then spend each day of each week saying "well not really". :beli:
you dont blame baylor for texas falling off, but you dont ignore the fact that texas sucks right now. you get judged by your resume whether you should have had an easy schedule and it ends up being difficult or the other way around. those are the breaks, its the same thing boise st and tcu had to deal with when they were top 10 teams playing in non bcs conferences.

teams from outside the best 2 conferences made it into the bcs title game in the past, we switch to a 4 team playoff and now suddenly its patently unfair to teams not playing in good conferences before we even see who gets in? cmon

not that ive been paying attention to tennessee's thought process, but i imagine they thought they could make a bowl without dobbs and they'd be able to go into next year with him as a rs soph and have potentially 3 years of eligibility left to make a run with him.

so Finebaum show has reached a low point
some guy name Incarcerated Bob called up telling this story of Jamesis old team mate making a larger bet than normal on Louisville 1st half. this dude suspects Jamesis may have been helping dude with the bet

the rumor

Bookie of Chris Rabb (Former HS Teammate) of Jameis Winston is "alleging" that they shared gambling account together since beginning of October

(Chris Rabb) made his biggest bet ever ($5,500) on game where his friend (Jameis) had probably his worst half ever in college

• Bookie meets with Chris Rabb morning before Louisville / Fla St game and receives $5,500 from Mr Rabb with instructions to bet Louisville +1 (1st Half) -110 to win back $5,000. Bet was placed and Louisville won 1st Half vs Fla St (21-7). Mr Rabb is now suppose to receive $5,000 for winning bet + his $5,500 initial bet (square up day is Tuesday) • Bookie gets information late Sunday night that he's been "Played for a fool" as Mr Rabb and Jameis Winston are former teammates and conspired together on the above mentioned first half wager. Bookie wants no part of paying the debt.
