Love MJD. I'd take John Khun or Michael Bush if mjd goes elsewhere

It's getting closer Steeler Brethren

:myman:

Seems like we always considered losers in free agency. Don't pay attention to that mess we been to 3 super bowls since 05 and it wasn't due to free agency. The draft is the Steelers way. The steelers know the right time to let players go

Yeah, but we also have a tendency to bring rookies along rather slowly. We've had some great FA pickups over the years like James Farrior, Brent Alexander, Dewayne Washington, Jeff Hartings, Ryan Clark & Kevin Greene. I'm hoping who we scooped up will definitely pan out!

Farrior was a rare big move. Clark was under the radar. The other dudes were meh. But yes I hope our new FAs pan out. We do bring rookies in slowly but we always look for big season 2 jumps so the onus is on shamarko Jarvis jones leveon bell etc this season to step up. If we can keep our oline healthy that offense could be dangerous. Jarvis Jones is the most critical to our D. He looked way too weak last year. His bull rush was suspect and he rushed outside way too often.

I swear on this and I want everyone here to remember this, "IF THIS LINE HOLDS UP AND WE GET MJD BEN WILL BREAK RECORDS NEXT YEAR". I am already on the record saying that Bell will be a top five RB in the next two years but if we get Drew I'm calling next season. In this offense Bell will be used as our Charles and he will kill defenses when lined up in the slot ala Sproles in N.O. and Mathews in S.D. This offense will be a problem...If that line can stay healthy.

NYC (but PGH will forever be home)
Lets be honest with ourselves- Cotchery's production last year was an aberration. He is solid, but not irreplacable...:yeshrug:

I think that Lance is a great pick up- if he stays healthy, he can virtually do everything Cotch did for us. I think Cotch may have slightly better hands, but Lance is FAR more shifty/faster than Jerricho...

For all of his who play Fantasy Football, you realize how hard it is for WR's to get consistent production on that N.O. squad b/c Brees distributes the ball so well around the field... but if Lance and Ben get a rapport, I can definitely see him balling out next year:ehh:

The thing is, Lance Moore isn't a better red zone target than Cotchery. Makes me think we're really aiming for a big WR in this draft.

Lance Moore: 26 red zone TDs in his career
Jerricho Cotchery: 20 red zone TDs in his career

Better red zone production from Moore, and he came into the league 2 years after Cotchery.

Heath is 100% healthy going into this year, and they were going to draft a WR regardless. I think Moore has more of a play-making ability than Cotchery did, and he fits the quick passing game of Haleys offense better.

Not bad, can def play special teams & is talented enough, IMO, to play alongside Timmons on the Inside
