I think its his style of coaching, because ATL has SO MANY cats who can score, but some how SSU can never land em, and dont really get a ton of ATL hoopers in general. Every time SSU plays big teams its always a solid defensive effort but they can't score what so ever and then the bigger teams always pull away. SSU always finds good PGs too. I think if SSU can find a 6'5/6'6 slasher they will be good to go, because they never have had a player who can create shots/take it to the whole and draw fouls.
The yr SSU made it to the NIT or whatever we should have been able to steal someone from G Tech or UGAs bench. It`s almost a no brainer when it comes to B Ball to go to a MEAC school if you aren't a definite NBA talent because 1.You play against the big teams so you can have a platform to show out. 2. IF you win your conference you can make it to the big dance. 3.Pretty much guaranteed to go overseas. 4.the Women are better.
