There's hardly anything there coming to the larrybox.

Xenoblade Chronicles X (Monolith - Wii U)
Final Fantasy XV (Square Enix - PS4, Xbox One)
Persona 5 (Atlus - PS3, PS4)
Tales of Zestiria (Namco Bandai - PS3)
Disgaea 5 (NIS - PS4)
Bloodborne (From Software - PS4)
Bravely Second (Square Enix - 3DS)
Dragon Quest Heroes (Square Enix - PS4)
SaGa 2015 (Square Enix - Vita)
Deep Down (Capcom - PS4)
Wonder Flick (Level 5 - PS4)
Another Level 5 IP (PS4)
Fire Emblem If (Intelligent System - 3DS)
Hardly anything to get excited about. This is merely a continuation of the disappointing last generation.
Xenoblade Chronicles (Monolith - Wii)
Final Fantasy XIII (Square Enix - PS3)
Persona 4 (Atlus - PS2, PS3, PSV)
Tales of Xillia (Namco Bandai - PS3)
Disgaea 4 (NIS - PS3, PSV)
Fire Awakening (Intelligent System - 3DS)
That only sums up the the lineup of the last-gen. And they weren't even released simultaneously nor released in the early life of that generation. It's only year 2 for the PS4 and it might already have outnumbered lineups in the PS3 already.
I think that's irrelevant.
People want new and quality stuff. Not sequels and continuation of the same old, same old.

What games are dark souls rip offs?I'm not into the crazy bloody "action adventure rpgs" that are pretty much dark souls rip offs. But the tales, Xeno, Bravely, Saga, FF and Fire emblem have me pretty hype. I'll be purchasing all of those.
Some old gamers here might missed the deep JRPG pool of games in the SNES, PS1 and PS2 era. Last generation is a huge disappointment for the fans of the genre. Only few titles delivered and the renowned heavyweight titles flopped badly. Being multi-platform doesn't help as it even more divide the fanbase. But things looks promising this year.
After the year of PS4's launch, many devs are starting to invest on Sony again. And so far, the lineups already exceeded what PS3 have in its early days (counting both exclusive, ports and cross-platforms).
And I'm not counting HD remasters yet.
new AAA games coming this year:

Final Fantasy XV (Square Enix - PS4, Xbox One)
Persona 5 (Atlus - PS3, PS4)
Tales of Zestiria (Namco Bandai - PS3)
Disgaea 5 (NIS - PS4)

Another Level 5 IP (PS4)
Fire Emblem If (Intelligent System - 3DS)
That's already shyt tons of games.
That's not all. It's also rumored that Mistwalker will develop games for PS4, Sega launching a new IP and a sequel of a long lost classic, Suikoden.
It's like 90's all over again.

If we are talking about a renaissance to the 90s then JRPG was a very specific style of game.
Turn based combat, skill trees, towns and exploration, male characters that look like chicks, etc.
Seems your definition of JRPG in this thread is simply RPG made in Japan. Which is fine and there's some very interesting titles coming out. I just wouldn't say its like the 90s all over again.
