That statement is incorrect. What is weird about the game? ?Have you played it or are you just prematurely judging it by it's cover?? There's hardly anything "weird" about Persona. I swear this is the dumbest thing i've heard in a long time. The game is as normal as a phillips screwdriver. There's no "weird" shyt happening in the game at all. You play as a city high school kid who moves into a quite rural town with his Uncle and his daughter. A string of bizarre murders occur and you and a group of other high school students start to find out what's going on. Of course the plot gets much more deep than a detective case but besides that, you do normal shyt in the game. There was never any feeling ofwhen playing the game.
How can a game featuring Izanagi, a deity in Japanese mythlogy which is used in popular culture such as Naruto, Okami(The game) and this game be weird??
As for me using Persona 4 as an example on this forum, it's not absurd. Persona 4 has gained a lot of popularity here in the US. Of course in Japan it's even more popular but to say it has no audience up here is silly. Plenty of folks on this here forum played and liked Persona 3/4 . Just because YOU in particular don't care for it doesn't make my point null.
Heck, I'm using my examples for games that are highly praised, irrespective of where it comes from.
That halo example is terrible because quite frankly, Xbox as a platform isn't even popular or cared about in Japan whereas you can find people in the US that fukk with Persona. Don't be so close minded, you're just using conjecture.
God of War 3, The Last of Us, Assassins Creed 2, Modern Warfare, etc....take your pic. All games on the PS3 that sold well in the US but in Japan nobody gave a fukk. Thats what the Persona series is like over here.
And yeah some Naruto shyt like Izanagi is obscure. If i started talking about Susanoo to most people they would be like
