Almost every time Kanye speaks or goes on one of these rants, I just can't believe that it's the same person who made College Dropout, Late Registration, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, countless classic beats, etc.

I think there are simply too many people worried about leveraging their investments for their to be
a genuine award show.
It would be dope though if we could watch an award show where they break new acts, big up underrated albums, and pushed
smaller acts.
There are some people on (major) labels that generally go unknown despite putting out some great shyt.
Not every black person can be MJ and run shyt.
I'd argue they look more out of place at the Grammys.

VMA's are a parody of an awards show at this point. From having Ice Cube and his son on stage to present an award Kendrick was nominated for only to have Taylor win it. To them having Taylor Swift present Kanye with his vanguard award (they've been using both of them of ratings since 2009).
