The anticipation is killing me

Disagree wholeheartedly at 3. The draft is too deep at receiver [Perriman, Parker, DGB, etc.] and we just took 2 last year in the 2nd round. That would be 3 receivers in the first two rounds in the last 2 years. That's a hell of a lot of investment in one position. Not to mention the one that lead the team in TDs last year was an UDFA and is still on the team. Also, this notion of a "true number 1" is overstated because there are literally only like 10 (at most) in the league and most of them aren't winning a lot of games. I really don't like the impatience and short-term memory people have with young players. It's like people forget Marqise Lee won the Biletnikoff just like Cooper and would've been a top 10 pick had it not been for injuries and QB play his last year at USC. And Allen Robinson was one of the best rookie receivers in the league last year before he got hurt. Pretty sure he was leading all rookies in receptions or some shyt.I really do want the Jags to draft a receiver. I'd like a chance to try and be explosive on offense.
That's my final answer
I understand if they go a different direction but the ability to go 4 wide with a true number 1 with Thomas out there as well would cause other teams fits.
Teams were turning in their cardsI'm confused, how did this work? I thought it was just that the beat writers would have connects in the team's war room and would post the pick on twitter before TV announced it. How would that lead to other teams getting screwed?
They have been productive for your team though.I pray that hes gone before 26
Ozzie cant seem to help himself when it comes to bama players and i dont want Collins AT ALL
Thats one of the worst case senarios for me

you gotta be fukking kidding me, teams got mad holes. just trade Drew and completely rebuild if thats the case
NFL Network's Albert Breer reports LSU CB Jalen Collins had "multiple" failed drug tests while in college.

Teams were turning in their cards
Once that happens the next team is alerted. They are told who the team in front of them drafted and they are unofficially on the clock
Like i said at one point they were like 8 picks ahead of the live broadcast and teams that had already turned the cards in were then calling back in to the league office and trading the picks
It's confusing so I'll try to explain.Lets just say the live tv broadcast is on pick 20 but behind the scenes the teams all the up to 26 have already turned their cards in
Then these insiders find out who the 21-26 picks are and post then on Twitter
Now lets say the team that picks 32nd sees the player they want is going 26 so they call up the team who picks 25th and make a trade
Now even though the 25th team already let the league know who they were drafting the league has still yet to announce the 20th pick live so they were letting team basically change their mind after the fact and trade away the pick
I remember Harbaugh said he already called the league office and told them their pick was Dez when he saw live that the cowboys traded in front of them and drafted Dez
then the same exact thing happened to us again in the 2nd round when the pats traded in front of and took Gronk after the Ravens were told another player was drafted the pick before ours and Ozzie told the league office Gronk was our pick
Basically somebody in the league office was leaking who teams were gonna draft and some teams were using that info to trade right in front of that team to steal the player
I see. I was under the impression that once you turned in the card, it was a done deal. That's some slick renege shyt teams were pulling then.True they have been solid but from what ive seen bama players(mainly defensive players) usually have low ceilingsThey have been productive for your team though.
Cj could end up one of the best ever.
@FloorGeneral @ThiefyPoo @FAH1223 @tru_m.a.c
I have a feeling we trading out of the first. Our needs is CB and ILB and a few of the top prospects at those positions should still be available in the 2nd round.
Hightower?True they have been solid but from what ive seen bama players(mainly defensive players) usually have low ceilings
Guys like Dareus and Mosely are the exception and Collins isn't cut from that cloth
So these mofos know well ahead what picks are in and still wait full 10 min to announce pick?Teams were turning in their cards

But on the other hand, while I am firmly Team Take Vic Beasley, this draft is also pretty deep at pass rusher. Actually this draft is deep at 3 of our 4 biggest need positions (RB, Pass Rusher, Free Safety[fukk Josh Evans], Receiver I guess?). Also, WR isn't the only way we could quickly turn our offense around. A great running back could quickly turn us into a more consistent, explosive offense. Lost count of how many times last year I thought, "Man, if only we had a Forte or a McCoy type back there." Personally, if we had to go offense first, I'd rather us take one of the RBs than a WR.
At the end of the day, our single largest problem last year on offense was youth. Throwing even more youth into the situation doesn't necessarily mean it's going to get fixed. At some point, you have to give your young guys the chance to get better together. Our top 3 receivers have been on the team less than a year and people are already coloring them as finished products. Which would admittedly make sense if they hadn't all seriously shown flashes last year. But they did. Each of them. Let. Them. Grow.
