He balling :ehh:

But what is he doing different than RG3? You shyt on him. Right now I'm seeing a lot of play action and rollouts. :yeshrug:

RG3 lost his athleticism...so he's not the same. As long as Mariota stays healthy he should be good.

And just then in his last drive, Mariota had to sit in the pocket, mitigate pressure and make a tight throw to the sideline. He is almost picked off. I don't see what's so different about RG3. When RG3 has 3 seconds to throw--like Mariota had in his would-be TD drive--he can score at will too.

Probably wont find out till the regular season. But I want to see Mariota runs on this level.

Some guys running transfers (Cam, Kaep, Wilson) some guys dont (Vince Young)

I want to know if he can be a 500 yard rusher at this level. He needs that threat of the run to set up those play action passes.

He's running a pro style O and calmly going thru his progressions. He's going to make his share of mistakes, but he seems way more comfortable in the pocket than Bob. And Tenn is smart to make him play this way instead of trying to mimic Oregon's o yo make him more comfortable.

Bob got ROY running a gimic system that had a shelf life. Being whenever he got hurt, they would have to change it. Shanny shoulda just ran his normal O w/ rollouts off playaction designed to throw. There were way too manu designed runs in thay gimic sh1t. Now Bob looks punch drunk and shook of a pass rush.

I'd bet he's faster than VY, it will transfer. I won't put a # on it, but he's going to run when necessary.

I wish this kid wasnt in Luck's division, I would be a fan if he was in Tampa :damn:

And Dirk Koetter is the OC in Tampa, good luck to Jameis :mjlol:

Well thats why I mentioned how well he runs in my last post. RG3 got figured out when he couldnt stay healthy/no longer run the same.

If Mariota can stay healthy and run very well at this level he can be good.

Most runners transfer well in their rookie year and decline thereafter as teams adjust to their running tendencies and they consequently must read defenses and make throws like a real QB.

I don't think it's a stretch to say Mariota can at least be on Russel Wilson's level.

But given Tennessee's staff, roster and scheme, dude can be RW to the rest of the Titans being like the Seahawks. There are a lot of similarities between this team and the 2000's Steelers.

I think they have a team.

Breh, the play action from under center was a mainstay of his offense.

Believe it or not RG3 made throws from under center off play action breh. I'm talking about seeing tight window throws....I havent seen that....and honestly I dont expect it. Like I said he can still be good without having to many tight/tough throws.
