Yes, the free masons and the Skull and Bones are heavily intertwined. And yes the Freemasons heavily engage in the use of symbolism. What I am trying to get across is that After 9/11 when they decided that they were going to invade Iraq, Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, etc. weren't sitting there writing out an action plan that goes:
"Alright first thing we're gonna do is make a really cool stage with a pyramid on it just so everyone knows we aren't dikking around here. Then after that we can run some commercials that have a nice 'false trinity' on it. Yea that will really get the Taliban shaking in their boots"
The symbolism is nice and all but when has a pyramid symbol ever killed somebody? They are a reminder of power, but that power was gained through bloodshed and occupation, not repeatedly drawing an image on things.
