How can you say that? Off the top of my head I know for a fact that two of Rock's victories over him were complete bullshyt and Mick retained against him in that empty arena match. If The Rock's victories are legit then how can you say Mankind's arent? Im pretty sure he beat HHH as cactus. When he first came on the scene he was also one of the few people that was actually taking it to Taker and they had one of the best feuds going. All I'm saying is, sometimes you get wrestlers that dont have the look and may not be the most athletic, but some how some way they get the fans behind them. They have awesome feuds with virtually everyone and eventually they should be given a shot at the championship to show the fans that their favorite isnt just a pin cushion used to take bumps. It makes the fans want to actually get invested in people besides what the machine is pushing. Yeah most of those guys are transitional champs but its still cool as fukk to think that kid you saw jumping off of 20 ft ladders to make a name for himself almost 10 years ago is now the champi'll be honest i didn't care for mankind as champ. austin had to drag the guy's dead carcass on top of rock's just so he could get the 3 count.
he was a fan favorite but i don't think anyone ever perceived him as a top dog. he couldn't beat austin, he couldn't beat rock, he couldn't beat taker, he couldn't beat hhh, etc.
it was more of a pity title reign.
@Truth200 I was watching mick's documentary yesterday. He said Al Snow came up with the idea to have socko in the segment when Vince was in the hospital and Russo thought it was the greatest thing in the world so they had him continue to do it
