Curry now doesnt average what Kobe averaged back then... That says it all. Warriors almost lost to the cavs without kyrie and love. Cut it out. Nver compare the two again
And the Lakers needed help from the refs to get past Sac. Don't make me post the footage.

What does that have to do with this current gsw team vs them? This current gsw team lost 2 games to the cavs in the finals... Almost went down 2-0 hell 3-0. This team is great but theyre not in the discussion with the threepeat lakers or the Heatles. Just my humble opinion. To compare prime Kobe to Harden or even 01 kobe to harden when one was a second option still averaging more in the season and offs while being the premiere on ball defender? Cmon breh you better than this.

Offensively there is no disparity is my point breh. Its not like what I said was some asinine statement fam. I'm offering rep if anyone can find a stat that says I'm wrong. Their offense stats were pretty much Identical with Harden having more assists and Kobe averaging 1 less t.o. Y'all talking like there was a huge disparity between Kobe's '01 stats and Harden's '15 stats when its not.

Show me the stats that would suggest Kobe was better offensively in '01 than Harden was last season. I'll rep you right now if you can provide 1 relevant stat. If not, you rep me. Deal? And Kobe had a great sidekick, Harden didn't.

Stats need context.

You said Harden, last year, is as good as Kobe has ever been offensively.

Harden was more efficient due to getting to the line more but he's nowhere near a versatile scorer as Kobe which is why Harden disappears in the playoffs.

Harden shows out against weak defensive teams or undisciplined defenders but he's much easier to plan for than Kobe.

But I'd take 02-03 Kobe (30/7/6 plus stellar defense on 55 TS%), 05-07 Kobe over Harden. He's simply harder to plan against

explain to me wht "Defense" the spurs will play against the lakers that would enable them to slwo down shaq

Why you bringing up the Spurs? :patrice:

And I'm assuming they'll let Shaq get his with the focus being trying to front or force Shaq to dislodge (But I'm under the assumption we're playing under current rules) to prevent him from getting the ball. :patrice:

But I don't think they stop Shaq. But I also don't think they can stop Curry either and I think a mixture of Iggy, Klay, Barnes, Livinston, and great rotations plus a bunch of ball handlers can easily make it more difficult on Kobe than people think (Kobe cooks defenders after he starts learning what they weak against and this Kobe wasn't as offensively polished as Kobe was later and I doubt we're letting handchecking in).

Plus, Curry is gonna absolutely abuse Fisher, Kobe, and Shaq on the PnR plus unless you're planning on playing Shaq for 48 minutes for 4 game, you're gonna deal with a lot of Shaq stress because the Warriors are gonna be running like crazy with every rebound they got.

I think it's a better match than people seem to think but I still feel the Lakers win in 5-6 off the strength of Shaq's post presence.

Check Kobe's 3 pt percentage in '01 breh. You're not that versatile if you can't take advantage of Shaq getting doubled by knocking down the open 3. He was a beast but come on, in today's game nikkas would laugh at that 3pt percentage and the lack of attempts.

This would be more lopsided against the Warriors than it would be if they faced the '97 Bulls.

While the Lakers didn't have the depth of this current Warriors team, Shaq would be too much for them to cope with. Ezeli and Bogut would both foul out trying to contain Shaq, and Draymond is simply too little to guard Shaq. Kobe is gonna Kobe, and the attention he will command is going to leave shooters like Fox, Horry and D. Fisher with his horrible ass form open to drain threes on them. :yeshrug:

I see Curry being the only player that's really going to cook for the Warriors, and perhaps Draymond Green when he finds himself on the perimeter. Barnes might have a few decent lines here and there. Offensively they will make it interesting, but on the other end they simply do not have an answer for Shaq.

Norfeast groovin…
I don't give a fukk who they hate. Last year Harden was as good offensively as Kobe has ever been. Shut me up with stats.

Ha, the ole stats crutch. Your numbers need context though. What you mean to say is harden produced great numbers playing with a game predicated on being a floppin ass nikka and living at the free throw line only to ultimately disappear in the playoffs. The two don't compare, if the Rockets got even 01 Kobe they advance to the Finals. harden doesn't and never will have the type of offensive arsenal that Kobe had. I'm convinced you're just trolling, either that or you never watch the '01 Lakers.
