Not in love with the contract, but we need all the help we can get. It's risky, but hopefully it pays off. I like Crabbe's game though. Dude can shoot and plays really good defense. Still could be room for him to grow. If he can give us around 15 ppg then :manny:

@Skooby your thoughts?

:ehh: If these signings go through, we'll have some nice depth and potential at the wings/perimeter positions :whoo:

These next 3 days are gonna be very interesting for us :lupe: will Crabbe and Johnson be Nets or will their contracts get matched? Will we get both of them or just one of them :lupe: or we might end up with none of them :francis:

Didn't think he'll get that much but he'll be a good get. Could end up as one of the best 3-and-D players in the league. But the Blazers are probably going to match the offer (as they will with the other two RFAs (Moe Harkless and Meyers Leonard)..

The Evan Turner signing makes even less sense though...Crabbe was due for more PT and a bigger role.

I think cause he really loves DC

He's said he doesn't like the distractions of contracts. Plus he wasn't an All Star when he signed. He hadn't played in the postseason either.

He was legit crying in 2013 when he signed that extension
I get all that, but what all that got to do with simply getting a player option :laugh:
Once 2018 is up, all he'd have to do is opt out and resign for whatever the current max is if he's outplaying his contract (which he is) or just opt in for 2019 the last year if was underachieving. Either way, hes going to have contract distractions whenever that last year comes.

You are right, it is risky. Crabbe is a good dude and his game is pretty decent. That contract is banking on potential and he would need to improve quite a bit to validate it. I always felt he was best as a 6th man type guy and word is that is what the Blazers felt.

Going into the off season I was hoping the Blazers would keep Crabbe, but now at 75 milly I am not so sure :patrice:.

This off season and salary cap though. 4 years 75 million for a guy like Crabbe, still so hard to wrap by brain around. I have been waiting to see what type of cash Myers Leonard gets offered, that would have been the :russ: one for me. I don't mind if we bring him back, but not at these contracts going around. :scust:
