Unless this is insurance in case Zaza goes down, this is a pretty bad signing - particularly if he's going to be ahead of Jones on the depth chart.

I totally agree.
Count me in on that too.....he didn't show me anything that made me want him on board long-term. He can pass, but beyond that, there's just not much there.
I'd rather have a rookie center. Even one that's going to spend time in the D-League.

He's hurt, i'm not sure when he's coming back. Varejao is just filler until they figure out the depth at the 5 probably. I don't like it too much either, he's not what they need right now at that position.
