It seems the Wizards and the fanbase were basically banking on KD having the same or at least a similar connection/desire to rep his birth area like Bron or at least to the degree someone like Drose did.
I can't say I really blame him due to the specific circumstances involved but shyt is a bit surprising how little he cares to even entertain the idea of winning one for the DMV...
