I remember nikkas left James Harden for dead after a bad finals performance and he damn near won MVP lol.

He not a max player but I think Barnes, giving the touches can get atleast 18pts per game

Why aren't Atlanta and Houston bigger free agent destinations the majority of the players seem to hang out around there.

Can't speak for Houston, but as a city Atlanta literally has everything a young, black multimillionaire ball player would want. From a basketball standpoint, we're a decent to good roster. If KD comes here the Hawks are a legit Finals threat, problem is that the perception around the league is that the Hawks management is not savvy or smart enough to build a title team and that's lingered since the days of Stan Kasten, Pete Babcock, Billy King, etc. We've got a long history of unimpressive to just dumb ass people running the ship and even when we do get it right with Danny ferry we overreact and get rid of him. Our current GM Wes Wilcox is a puppet of Coach Bud since Bud is also team president...there's no accountability or checks and balances in the front office. So even if I was a FA and would love to live here,I'm not sure I trust the Hawks brain trust enough to commit to playing here

It ain't all bad he just turned 24, not even in his prime yet. He can grow with Philly. He's a decent defender and can shoot the 3 even though his shot is streaky. It wouldn't be the best pick up, there are better 3s right now out there, but it wouldn't be a terrible signing at the same time

This. While I certainly don't want him at the max by any means he's not this terrible player that many on here are portraying him as.

Philly shouldn't do this but they need legit NBA talent and Barnes for all his faults is that. He will be decent for them if he goes there but if he's their best player 2 years from now then they wont be making to much noise. But if Embid and Simmons pan out and reach their potential then he might be the perfect fit for them then.

he gets wide open shots and cant even average 18 points a game

5-32 the last 3 games in the finals, hes a good athlete but hes missing something upstairs
