I thought he got one on knee as well? I guess I was wrong but that is what the talk was that how he needed a surgery there.
His knee surgery was two years ago and he never had the same lift since then. I think he can still be an effective rebounder and defender tho, but liability on offense

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
Waiting on the yearly Mavs strike out on free agent and scramble to save face offseason :mjcry:

League just seems so different where every team has cap space, so the smartest play is to build through the draft right now. There's such a small chance at making an impact in free agency right now cause you're competing with every team

Mavericks keep putting on band aids and not accepting a true rebuild.

Smart man wants another team with no state income tax:ehh:

I sent out feelers to powerball and megamillions and I hope they choose my numbers to be their next big winner.

Would you say you've upgraded by getting robin Lopez?
I'd be lying if I told you I've watched Robin play a whole lot the past few years, hard for me to say, but yeah, Joakim really hurt us in the playoffs in 2015 offensively, and last season is hard to judge cause Hoiberg benched him in camp. His rebounding actually seemed to be back, but he still was a liability on offense. He was trending upwards right before the shoulder went out. I think he's still got something in the tank as long as he stays healthy

His knee is supposedly a ticking time bomb tho

I think the Mavs finally realized that. They took the draft as a joke since they traded for Dirk. Looks like they drafted a solid player last year and have a solid started kit of a center this yr. Michael Finley is doing the drafting now, hopefully things get better.

They don't wanna say their rebuilding while Dirk is still here.

Philadelphia and Brooklyn will be bad, but early indications are that both will go hard after young-ish free agents with untapped upside. They have enough cap space to make it rain with offer sheets, and at worst, they will drive up both prices and the pace of business in restricted free agency -- bad news for a team like the Warriors, who might need to wait out Durant before making a choice on Harrison Barnes.

(This might not matter; teams can't lavish offer sheets until the moratorium ends July 7, and incumbent teams have three more days to match. Durant will likely have made up his mind by then). Brooklyn has strong interest in adding some character veterans, including Jared Dudley, sources say.

Teams are worried Brooklyn will jump the market on unrestricted free agents with ties to new coach Kenny Atkinson (Lin, Bazemore), and some under-the-radar young guys.
