There's only one factor: the Los Angeles Lakers are trash

I'd like to think that them ranking 28th out of 30 in wins over the last 4 years is why free agents aren't scrambling to play there

Team trash

No doubt, but now it's basically an open roster with the most cap space in the league, with some young talent that can develop or be packaged. 2 or 3 guys in free agency can make them a playoff contender.

Guys don't even want to see what the Lakers plan on doing?

Feels like it's more to it then just roster/basketball reasons.

Bryan Colangelo stupidity is back....Wants to throw money at Harrison Barnes,be the next to get took by Masai Ujiri and wants to sign Jordan Clarkson...

Wouldnt be at all surprised if Bargnani's agent reaches out to him :scust:

Until the young guys on the team prove themselves all we are is potential. We're no different from any of the other young teams with cap space.

I want to see all the articles saying maybe Kobe wasn't the reason players aren't signing there. That was the narrative folks loved to throw out there well now he's retired and Lakers can't even get a meeting with anybody. I'm starting to think respect for Kobe was the only reason Lakers even got a chance to talk to some of these dudes in the first place.

Exactly. We have cap for 2 max players and the assets to trade for a 3rd max player. I'm baffled.

Apparently it's the whole Jim Buss, Jeanie Buss fiasco.
