wasn't he just recruiting Dwight Howard to Dallas....He must be upset because the Mavs said find you a max contract 
It's going to be hard. Bigs like Kanter are dying in value and at his price tag. You can get Al Jefferson for 10 mil or Greg Monroe for 14. Like I said, I am not worried about OKC. I am only worried about us figuring out a way to get a lot more talent. Like OKC. We gotta start flipping players for cap space as well. We need more cap space. We have 24 million but that can only get you one player. We need a lot more money.

Also because why would they not want the last word with him? That second meeting could be nothing more than just throwing every possible option in front of him & letting him pick what he wants since there's been some slight noise about him wanting to sign long term now.
