Or just as easily get hurt or have a crappy season and sign for nowhere near the ridiculous contract he's getting. Its a gamble. When these players and agents cash in, they're set for life (in theory) so I can't blame them for not trying to gamble on it.

It is gamble, but the smarter bet is to gamble on yourself not getting hurt .. Especially when cap increase is this drastic
