I have no problem at all with a team that's a championship contender overpaying for someone. When you're close for a title you go all out to go for it. It's these bad and middle of the road teams that I think it's dumb for. All you're doing with these bad contracts is limiting flexibility and clogging your cap space over the next couple of years that may cause you to miss out on talent. Hell just by having extra cap space you can acquire 1st or 2nds just from teams needing to dump a contract or as a dumping ground for other teams to complete their trades.most of these contracts won't look too bad in a couple of years when the cap goes up again. ppl were shytting on lebron and the cavs for giving thompson that big contract but they ended up winning a championship
the only problem is giving injury prone players like parsons and beal a max![]()
Parsons![]()
They already said they would.wtf, Grizz?
Blazers will match any Crabbe offer now, you'd assume. why lose a cog when your trying to build something
They have the cap room to match.so how is portland matching crabbe if they're throwing out these ridiculous deals to wing players?![]()
Exactly. Given what we was going to sign...this isn't too bad.I will say this for Portland tho;
I'd rather have Turner on that contract than parsons
Great deal for the Bucks, I have to think the Cavs match it though, right?
Another thing for the 76ers they gotta trade Noel asap looking at some of these numbers. Unless they see him as their starting big going forward. Noel is legit better than every big that got paid today. He'll get the max and at his age and with his some what unique skillset I think he'll deserve it.
Turner said Ainge did not give a sense of where the Celtics stood in the Durant sweepstakes, but he said that Ainge “seemed confident with Horford.” Multiple reports said the Celtics were scheduled to meet with Horford Friday.
Turner said he worked out with Kyle Korver — Horford’s Atlanta teammate — in Santa Barbara, Calif., on Thursday. Korver told Turner that Horford was ultimately going to re-sign with the Hawks. But then on Friday, Turner said, Horford sent Korver a text message asking him to call him, and Turner had a sense that something might have shifted.
