Man it just seems like yesterday when everyone was arguing between CP3 and D-Will on who the best point in the NBA was. Now he's getting a ":manny: if you want it, take it because no one else is interested" contract.

Brehs, WTF happend to Deron Williams?? I don't pay attention to NBA Basketball as much as I used to. So I was suprised to see the Mavs sign him for cheap last offseason & with little fanfare comapared to when he was a free agent a few years ago.

hes a family man....paul pierce called him out. He plays for the check. Clocks in and clocks out. He's made over 150m. The passion for the game left in Brooklyn. Remember he made a coach retire than coach him another second. Not that I blame him tho. Family>Bball but damn, you aint have to take 98M

That may or may not be true but I think you have to also mention his physical decline(he's never really been the same player since he had the ankle injuries, even after surgeries to fix both ankles).

Wizards' Paul Pierce speaks the truth

Pierce: Nets 'would have folded' without me, KG

Paul Pierce 'knew all along' that Deron Williams had it in him

Paul Pierce rips former Brooklyn Nets teammates, particularly point guard Deron Williams, also calls out Ray Allen while discussing career with Washington Wizards

I'm sorry I'm going to go buy what a nba champ HOF said after seeing him for

"It was just the guys' attitudes there. It wasn't like we were surrounded by a bunch of young guys. They were vets who didn't want to play and didn't want to practice. I was looking around saying, 'What's this?' Kevin (Garnett) and I had to pick them up every day in practice.

"Before I got there, I looked at Deron as an MVP candidate," Pierce said. "But I felt once we got there, that's not what he wanted to be. He just didn't want that.

"I think a lot of the pressure got to him sometimes. This was his first time in the national spotlight. The media in Utah is not the same as the media in New York, so that can wear on some people. I think it really affected him."

Gasol
Leonard
LeMarcus
Duncan (fossil or not...probably fossil but still decent)
Manu
Parker
Green

I like this squad, and hoping for one more ship before Duncan retires but I know its unlikely. Sucks they couldnt get Conley.
