Well, consider that Gobert missed 22 games and they were 7-15 without him, he also wasn't nearly as good when he came back from the knee injury. Then, add in that Alec Burks missed 51 games, Exum missed the season and Favors also missed 20 games.

The only thing that will prevent them from being a 50 win team this year would be injuries. They have elite defense, they will have offense with Burks, Johnson, Lyles and Diaw off the bench and they have one of the most balanced starting 5s and bench units in the league. They don't have a superstar so I wouldn't expect them to challenge for a title or anything, but they will be a very good team.

the west isnt all that strong outside warriors, spurs, and clippers so its possible. jazz, blazers, timberwolves, thunder, and grizzlies will probably be fighting for that 4th spot. i think the thunder will still be pretty good. they still have a ton of size and westbrook and oladipo is very explosive backcourt.
