The only thing I hate is how it seems like Malzahn's offense takes until the middle of the season to get completely rolling.......Need to come out of the gate better in upcoming seasons....
I gotta agree, and doing that may cost us a chance at higher levels of success this season, but at least this was supposed to be a rebuilding season. Next year should be his second season with an established offense already on hand, and he won't be running that offense lord willing. Even in his last year (red zone O was trash tho) of goodness back in 2014, he had the offense playing about as good as 2013's almost every game, just that defense.

We're gonna need to be better from the passing aspect just to sustain more drives next year, cause the defense will inevitably need a couple games to replace the contributions of Mon Adams and Lawson (and other seniors gone)

Y'all talking like the seasons over. We still control our own destiny. We're still in the thick of this. There's going to be more teams to inevitably fall and Ohio state has to play Michigan. If we take care of business each week going into Bama then it gets interesting :jawalrus:

Trust me, I've been preaching that rhetoric to anyone'll that listen. I'm just looking at it from a standpoint that this shouldn't have been necessary. We should've already been top 7-8ish and basically on the inside track for the CFP. Better late than never i suppose

Seeing Montravius's Instagram kinda reminds me of how much of a roller coaster we've been since 2013. Dude and his entire class comes into a dumpster fire (no other way to put it) and are immediately tasked with learning from a different coaching staff than they saw from the past 3 years at AU. And not only does he, and Carl, and Stevens, etc, learn, they went out their way to make sure Auburn was legit. Now, when it's time for them to go, they do their damnedest to show that they can be the tutors as well as the student. The foundation with MEN like KP, Marlon, Deshaun Davis, is strong brehs. Forbidding anymore ridiculous coaching collapses, we should be about as good as we are right now if not better going forward.

Vandy's a tough team. The only thing that matters is the W though.

I guess everyone can dead that "start JF3" thing now. Offense looked flat as hell with him in.

And our 3rd down defense has to be way better. We didn't get a decent pass rush all game
