it's not about that, but it is about respecting the heritage - this passage that we allowed for non black to exploit this word and use it against us AGAIN is dehumanizing . It's like Germans opening up the concentration camps and throwing parties and cooking coal fired brick oven pizzas in the gas chambers.

These guys can't see the forest through the trees for nothing. Cacs and non-cacs throwing nikka around like a festive game of "endearment" (like it's not fukking silly that asians and FOB africans and arabs and indians and hispanics use this word) is totally NOT due to the fact blacks are the only race to publicly refer themselves as derogatory terms and that it's trenched in popular culture. The word would not die (no shyt) if we stopped blabbering it, but it wouldn't be this parody of itself that we all can see.

Only thing I agree with is the part about we need to stop kidding ourselves about it being a term of endearment....It would be a lie to say that its not,but the word pretty much is used for all things,to show love,to show hate,to ask a question,to express a feeling of shock and surprise,sadness....it can be used to describe a person place or thing

Something more useful to ask some black folks to do imo,would be to practice self control on how we use ALL of our language and who we use it around....Like maybe in the presence of kids you don't need to abuse ANY curse words,and talking about all the bytches who sucked your dikk in the past week? Maybe you don't need to talk to your kids like they aint shyt,or use abusive language that can hurt ya kids self esteem,or talk down on the kids father in front of them?

Overall I would just want to see black folks expand learning and vocabulary and how to express ourselves at different levels in different situations....Especially when you quick to do it around some crackas on some shameful shyt,or at a job interview...When you expand your vocabulary the n word will magically stop being your go to for everything,as well as a lot of other words that people "abuse"...I cant believe nikka bothers people more than excessive cussing for no reason...That's the shyt that will have you sounding simple minded,and I don't hate cussin either,but everybody knows that person who throw cuss words around in every sentence....you shouldn't have to start a sentence with "Shiiiit" or throw a "muthafukka" in mid sentence just because

The n word debate itself though is just a decoy distraction for people who need an agenda,or don't see the bigger picture,and how small the word is in the grand scheme of problems we got.

And yeah I do hate when people say its an term of endearment,i usually see this when folks are trying to explain themselves to cacs on why they use it....Or trying to explain it to a black person who SHOULDNT need to have it explained but somehow they act like they don't understand

we need to fight for everything big , small, whether you think it's important or not. I been to a few cities and there's muesuems and memorials for Jewish people everywhere. Shyt didn't even happen here in the states, yet they got all types of shyt here. Meanwhile, try to find any memorials for black people anywhere, atrocities that happened here in America. yeah we got a fukkin month, they are white washing text books, demphasizing everything that was done to us. Them taking the n-word is another example of them white washing this word, now it's pop culture and actually hip to use this! N-word is no longer "black" people word, it's now back in the hands of the originators who used this to oppress us - now they use it to pacify and assimilate us.

We are stuck and I'm only asking we take back the word and put it in retirement.

You can't say the word "fakkit" anymore, even though gays use it as a term of endearment alot of time. Because they took the work and retired it. We are being leaped frogged and people want to fight over this word is the mentiality that keeps us in the loser seat.

The "no kardashian family" movement

after hearing and seeing so many threads about this family and the harm they inflict on black folks. I really would love to see their name just stopped being used. We got "obamas, jones', carters, combs" and other prestigious names from none entertainment families we can use...I would really think the intelligent black people of this forum would also join in on this call to stop using this name.
