I can't think of a worse year in the last 10. Could be the recency effect but the heavyweights didn't impress and the "B list" weren't as inspiring. 2013 wasn't that great either.

2016 has been pretty damn good...from vets, mixtapes, new artists.

It might not be everyone's taste, but the bay area regional scene has been anda breh well this year.

The mekanix, luniz, e40, iamsu, kamaiyah, have all dropped good albums to me. I'm not complaining.

Pretty good so far. Danny Brown, Ka, Elucid, Schoolboy Q, Kendrick, Open Mike Eagle and Vince Staples released really good projects. Chance, Mick Jenkins, Skyzoo, De La, etc released cool shyt too. Thugger released two projects I really fukk with.

Still kinda getting into Westside Gunn, Conway is dope. Kanye album has high highs and low lows. Biggest disappointment for me is Isiah Rashad's album.
