Minor moves:

The Steelers announced contract extensions for two young players and that 10 players have signed futures contracts with the team.

Signing extensions were fullback Roosevelt Nix and guard Chris Hubbard.

Nix played in 15 games on offense and special teams. He was a defensive lineman at Kent State signed by the Steelers last January after first trying to crack the NFL as a fullback with the Falcons. Hubbard has played in eight games over the last two seasons after spending 2013 on the Steelers practice squad.

The Steelers also agreed to futures contracts with safety Jordan Dangerfield, offensive linemen Matt Feiler and B.J Finney, defensive back Isaiah Frey, tight end Xavier Grimble, defensive end Caushaud Lyons, running backs Rajion Neal and Abou Toure, wide receiver Shakim Phillips and safety Ray Vinopal. All but Vinopal finished the season on the Steelers practice squad.

Mitchell right shoulder surgery, 4 months expected
Berry left shoulder injury, 4 months expected
Shazier and Spaeth knee scopes, several weeks expected
Decastro and Gilbert with ankle scopes, several weeks expected
2015 for better or worse has no bearing on 2016 expectations
Not confident in Cortez Allen
Needs more people to prove they can rotate on D-line to take snaps away from Tuitt and Cam
Wants entire coaching staff back, no other team requested interviews with any coach
Expects Golson to play like a second year player
No exit interview with James, unsure on future
No concerns with Shazier's health

I know he's had injury issues, but how has Jarvis Jones been the past few seasons overall? I remember going into the 2013 draft he had quite a bit of hype, but it died down somewhat and he went middle of the first round? I haven't heard too much of him.

he's pretty terrible as a pass rusher, he has no moves and gets thrown around by stronger tackles (which is every one he faces), but he's an improved run stopper and one of our better linebackers in coverage. I wouldnt mind seeing him back on a cheap deal for depth and rotation purposes.
